Occupy Berlin and Frankfurt: at least 8 thousand in procession

Berlin (Germany), October 22 (LaPresse / AP) - About 4 thousand people demonstrated in a peaceful procession through the streets of Frankfurt, Germany, against the banks. It refers to the local police spokesman, Isabell Neumann. According to the organizers of the movement Occupy Frankfurt, however, participants were 6 thousand. Even in Berlin about 4 thousand people marched in procession against banks and capitalism. The groups were inspired by the protest movement Occupy Wall Street in New York and some protesters are camped outside the headquarters of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt since last week, following a rally which was attended by 5 thousand people.
